The introduction of the silver kangaroo complemented the existing Perth Mint Gold Kangaroo coin series which was originally launched in 1989. Honouring tradition, this year’s silver edition showcases a rendition of Stuart Devlin’s iconic red kangaroo, a design originally crafted in 1989 by the Queen’s former goldsmith for the Mint. This favoured Silver Kangaroo coin design has remained unchanged each year since its release.
