Beginning in 2006, minted in Perth, the Discover Australia series was established to showcase famous Australian landmarks, regions and cities, as well as native flora and fauna. This coin series was produced only in proof grade, in all 3 of the precious metals silver, gold and platinum. Shipping in various packages from individual single coin boxes, to sets of 5 and sets of 3 consecutive year boxes of x5 coins. Sizes vary from 1/25th of an ounce to full 1oz coins. The silver and platinum coins were generally coloured proof coins, while the gold coins were not.
