Queensland Mint presents the 1oz Lunar 2022 – Year of the Tiger Silver Proof Coin in presentation case from the Australian Lunar Series III by the Perth Mint.

This is the 3rd coin in a set of 12 and depicts the Year of the Tiger, the third of twelve animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar. Each coin’s reverse portrays a stylised representation of a Tiger with a cub amongst some Bamboo. The coin also depicts the Chinese symbol for “Tiger”, the 2022 year-date and the Perth Mint “P” Mint-mark.

The coin’s obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, along with the monetary denomination, the weight and fineness.

The tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig followed the quick-thinking mouse and the flabbergasted ox to dry land.
