Celebrating the Koala's 15th anniversary.
In 2007, when preparing a new Australian silver coin series, the koala's iconic status made it an obvious design theme to complement the Mint's existing Kangaroo and Kookaburra coins. Today, the annual Australian Koala is popular among collectors and investors worldwide.

Reverse: Celebrating the Koala's 15th anniversary in silver, this coin features a 24-carat gilded portrayal of the sleepy creature lying on the bough of a gum tree. As well as the inscription 'KOALA 15TH ANNIVERSARY' and The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark, the design includes the coin's weight, purity and year-date.
Obverse: The coin's obverse depicts Jody Clark's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I above a representation of the original 2007 Australian Koala design. Also included on the obverse are the inscription '2007 2022' and the coin's monetary denomination.
