2011 1oz Lunar Series II Year of The Rabbit Gold Coin

Queensland Mint is proud to present the 2011 1oz Lunar Series II Year of the Rabbit Gold Coin. 

The moon goddess Chang'e in Chinese legend had a pet rabbit, making this creature the only one amiable enough to match her noble beauty. For the Chinese, the rabbit is a tame creature representing hope that endures.

Obverse: The Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. 

Reverse: Features a rabbit next to a cabbage and a pot with Chinese lettering and the Chinese character for “rabbit” also appears in the design with the Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mint mark.
