1998 1oz American Eagle Gold Coin (Clinton-Lewinski edition)

Queensland Mint presents the 1998 1oz American Eagle Gold Coin from the United States Mint.

This Gold Coin recalls the famous American political and sex scandal which involved then-President Bill Clinton and a White House intern Monica Lewinsky that took place in 1998. Their sexual relationship lasted between 1995 and 1997. Clinton said that "did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky" but an investigation led to charges of perjury and to the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1998 by the United States.

This is tradtional for gold coins designed for circulation becuase 9999 gold is very soft and easily damaged. Notheless due to the 917 purity American Eagle Gold Coins attract a 10% GST.
